Planetary scientists examine all physical sciences as they pertain to planets across the epochs of their existence. They use such data to understand solar system formation and constituent types of celestial bodies within solar systems. They consider how a planet is effected by its primary star(s) and the interstellar medium.
I've been a hobby planetary scientist my entire life from cracking open World Book encyclopedia to Mars and Jupiter when I was eight, through the Cosmos series of Carl Sagan and the later discoveries of Hubble Telescope and JWST.
I wonder if the Mars settlement will be ready in time for my own visit?
