Opening training on lichess?

I found the opening training useful, too, and I'm sad it's gone.

I do wish it had some level of explanation for the openings, though. I found some of the choices incomprehensible, and would love to know the reasoning behind the openings.
Do source codes of such features that were removed still exist somewhere on github? If so, can any of the coder lichess players revive them somehow? I see there are some people who create chess tools like blitzchess trainer, endgame trainer or blunder trainer etc. Maybe they should/could recreate opening trainer of lichess somewhere else?
Opening trainer should be put back. It may not have been useful for some but for me it was a good tool for selecting best candidate moves in the opening. It was a Lichess original and was one of the tools that made the site unique. I don't understand why they decided to remove it. Seems like quite a few people used it.
yeah it was so fun. Some people hated it but they had the option to not use it.
@thibault Please bring back the opening trainer, otherwise, care enough to tell us why it has been removed.
"Just too many flaws to count. It will likely be replaced by something else in the near future."

Quickly browsed lichess github, couldn't find evidence that it's being worked on. Last change to code related to opening trainer I could find was the removal of a dead link to the trainer four days ago.
