Well I played two games against stockfish 4 and the first game it destroyed me with a cheap trap which was nice I learnt a new trap so that's not bad so I played it again and finally beat it but after a long fight which was tough as hell but when I played against stockfish 5 it was blundering pieces like seriously making Blunders a 900 would make so then I googled and people say stockfish 4 is better than 5 so i just asked here in forum
It's hard to throttle down stockfish, this leads sometimes to it making dumb blunders.
Also, what is an easy to spot blunder for you might be difficult to see for someone else, and vice versa.

Play 100 games against level 4, and another 100 games against level 5, then do the statistics.
I think sometimes it just depends. Stockfish 6 once blundered a queen while stockfish 5 stayed more solid. So it just really depends on how many games you play, and eventually I think stockfish will show the difference in level more :)

That's a good idea

Thanks for sharing honestly I was just asking since I'm new to Lichess and yes Stockfish level 6 is relatively strong I haven't managed to beat 7 yet but soon I will sadly 8 is impossible to beat

Even more scientific would be to open two browsers, one with SF Level 4 , one with SF level 5, and let them play 100x against each other. (;
