I know that FOSS licenses is a hot topic these days. Maybe the authors should relicense Stockfish to AGPLv3, SSPL or something more customized like BSL to explicitly protect Stockfish from commercial rip-offs. I understand that SSPL and BSL are technically not FOSS but they are more explicit in protecting the software to stay free more than FOSS licenses themselves honestly. Otherwise, at least relicense it to AGPLv3. It's the best available option right now.
Hopefully this puts Chessbase out of business and sets an example to all shameless GPL violators.
