Endgame book: Silman or de la Villa?

Hi everyone,

I wonder if I should buy (as my first endgame book) Silman's book on the endgame or Jesus de la Villa's "100 endgames you must know". I am a little afraid de la Villa's book is too advanced as I have read (on Silman's website...) it's for players rated 2000 and higher.

Greetings
De la Villa is fine. I read it in 17 days or so. (but I read the whole 1 1/2 years before Dvoretzkys mighty "Endgame manual", so it was easier).

Although the title sounds a bit ballyhoo, de la Villa is my recommendation.
De la Villas book is superb. Highly recommended.

Silman's book didn't impress me at all, even though it's a 500+ pages book most of it is just white space. With more reasonable typesetting the material could fit into 150 pages.
