Majority of games are against lower rated players

The majority of my games are against lower-rated players, and most of my opponents' ratings are between -75 to +25, with a heavy skew towards the lower end. Is there a reason for this? I am genuinely curious if this is a common experience for others as well.
You have an extraordinary high score - so probably there are not so many players at your level, and even if there are, they maybe are not here on lichess at the same time. So I suppose that therefore you are often paired to lower-rated players - because that is even better than no opponent at all, isn't it?
