explain this stockfish suggestion

Bg3, Bg5 and Bd8 are almost equally good. The idea with Bd8 is to meet Qa2 with Qa5. As long as you move the bishop to a safe square it's not that big of a deal anyways.

if u move ur queen to a5 as white blacks qxc2 is checkmate
also by moving ur queen away (if it doesnt defend the bishop) loses the bishop cuz its attacked twice and defended only once then
ah u wrote qa2 :p i thought u meant qa4
qa2 seems like a strange move cuz it just got 1 purpose (to go to a1) so i didnt consider it cuz qa4 does the same thing but there the black queen seems to have more possibilities
On Qa4 you can play Kb1, which isn't possible after Qa2.
Well, tactically it's okay, and it's only a little bit better than other bishop moves just because the engine wants that bishop not being traded for the knight, I think.
