@CooloutAC #20 This is a civil war, and Ukraine is an artificial country, or rather, its borders do not correspond to the borders of the spread of the Ukrainian language.
Artificial country lol, shut up

The only places in the country where it doesn't align with the spoken language is where ethnic ukranians were genocided by the USSR

What a coincidence.
@ujcn
#21 is frightening.
You're arguing that Ukraine is not a sovereign nation, despite the fact that literally every country on the planet recognizes Ukraine as a sovereign nation. That includes Russia and Belarus.

As for your statement about languages, that's getting into some ethnic discrimination and racism issues. Just because someone speaks Russian doesn't mean they are owned by the Russian government. Not all ethnic Russians want to be Russian citizens

And if ethnicity is the sole determinant of national borders, why hasn't Russia granted Chechnya complete independence yet?

That makes no sense. I don't think you even know what you are saying and desperately trying to convince yourself of any reason to justify this war against humanity. That is not what determines a nations borders especially in the modern free world. This is why noone believes the Nazi claims that come from Putin supporters. It is pure projection.
Here is an excerpt from part of the Speech from Ambassador Martin Kimani to the UN Ukraine meeting in New York.

"Mr. President,

This situation echoes our history. Kenya and almost every African country was birthed by the ending of empire. Our borders were not of our own drawing. They were drawn in the distant colonial metropoles of London, Paris, and Lisbon, with no regard for the ancient nations that they cleaved apart.

Today, across the border of every single African country, live our countrymen with whom we share deep historical, cultural, and linguistic bonds. At independence, had we chosen to pursue states on the basis of ethnic, racial, or religious homogeneity, we would still be waging bloody wars these many decades later.

Instead, we agreed that we would settle for the borders that we inherited, but we would still pursue continental political, economic, and legal integration. Rather than form nations that looked ever backwards into history with a dangerous nostalgia, we chose to look forward to a greatness none of our many nations and peoples had ever known. We chose to follow the rules of the Organisation of African Unity and the United Nations charter, not because our borders satisfied us, but because we wanted something greater, forged in peace.

We believe that all states formed from empires that have collapsed or retreated have many peoples in them yearning for integration with peoples in neighboring states. This is normal and understandable. After all, who does not want to be joined to their brethren and to make common purpose with them? However, Kenya rejects such a yearning from being pursued by force. We must complete our recovery from the embers of dead empires in a way that does not plunge us back into new forms of domination and oppression."

Ukraine is an artificial country, but there are not so few such countries that have inherited the lands of the disappeared empires. These countries with a mixed population can be in a stable state until their governments begin to persecute the language, religion of their neighbors. You gave the example of Kenya, but I could give many other examples where unwise policies led to conflicts. In our case, the conflict in Ukraine is deliberately fomented by the West in order to "contain" its geopolitical opponents - the Russian Federation and China.
There is no „Russian Federation“. The Soviet Union broke apart. Get over it. Meanwhile you should google „federalism“.

That's bullshit.
Let's illustrate with a multiple choice question.
Suppose there are countries, A, B, C, and so on, that are all sovereign nations. Now suppose that country A invades country B due to country B not acting like country A wants. Country C is a rival of Country A and Country D. One of the four countries is responsible for the invasion.

Who is responsible for the invasion?
A) Country A, for invading
B) Country B, for existing
C) Country C, for being in a co-incidental rivalry with country A
D) Country D, for minding their own business
