You're partially right, but it would be a decent start, especially since it can be done in a few minutes. Their reluctance to provide such basic example is already a tell.
Not to mention that they could *Easily* show the interface/code to show it really interacting with the board without giving away any sensitive information about the product.

It's working!
comments are flooding in again, fortunately from Daniel and Mats as well. Number of comments dropped from 273 to 213 to get up to 240 in a few mins.

It seems obvious to me now that they want to get this thing wrapped up asap; whatever they can get from legit backers they would just add the remainder amount so they can brag about it that the campaign is funded in records time. In the process they get some people's money and also their own money back eventually (minus the fee for Kickstarter). All in all, a good strategy I must admit; cut your losses and save your face.
If you see one of Thibault's posts on his twitter account, you will notice a comment from a certain Maria saying:
