career path advice

canadian, 16M

unlike us, job that one can get depends on whether one has gone to college or university, so it is pretty much essential to choose what career to go by the ramification

if given the choice i want to pursue a career that has a decent pay check, but im not particulary interested nor good in stuff like science and computer.

my biggest academic strength would be math, but im aware that that alone wouldnt take me anywhere.

i would like to hear your suggestions.
Have you considered the trades?
Plumber, electrician, welder, construction, etc.

Come to think of it, there is a sad lack of cowboys in this world.
Every jobs field need a math...don't keep your talent at books...even if u work at restaurants...u must know the temperature at cooking...at cold storage ...how many burger and patties should be use...how many should you make at lunch hour...then if u become manager...more math will be use...how to manage cash flow...count how many waste...how many staff u use at one shift and must manage their hours correctly...if I were u...I put math first in any field jobs....hope u find something interesting
You need to find a balance between:
- A what you're good at
- B what you like
- C what gives enough money to live as you would like

Please find below an honest opinion and some questions, whose results I would recommend not to share since your privacy matters.

A - What you're good at: you tell us you're biggest strength is math. This does not tell you how good you are compared to the rest of your cass. Ask for feedback to your teachers. Note that if you think that you're not good at something, you may be wrong. B has great power and can help you find the strength to overcome weaknesses you may have.

B - What you like: not science nor computer science it seems. Those fields are red hot today, it does not mean they will be in 10+ years. Only you can know what you like or dislike, give it a thought on week ends. You are young, chose the right B that gives you enough motivation, and enough C for when you're older.

C - Money: the answer as recently as 10 years ago would have been: go to college. It's not so clear now, AI will replace thousands of white collar jobs in the coming years, but plumbers and electricians are safe at least for a few decades. Lack of C inevitably leads to unahappiness with time. A surplus of C won't make you happier neither. Your work is roughly 33% of your lifetime, and roughly 50% of your awaken lifetime. I believe it's best a moderate amount of money doing something you like than a huge amount of money doing something you hate. Of course it's debatable, I'd say aim high but not too high.

Try find a good balance between A, B and C. I know, easier said than done. Talk to your parents, your friends, your teachers. If you have the possibility, go to a vocational consellor. There is a lot of videos and info in the internet. You can take math, history, biology courses and get an idea of what it's like. Consider the trades as said above. And whatever you choose to do, do it well. Good luck!

Piles of rubbish politicians. What about taking all your courage of being a good one. Hey, if you manage to get high up there, don't forget to kick-trash all those bad and foul smelling politicians. Good luck & Gbu. Say no to war.
I thought of sharing to you an idea that came to me this day.
Here it is:

sacrifice x sacrifice x sacrifice (so on and so forth) ∞ = Glory ∞

= Glory is the present situation, but with different stages.

To explain: this formula means that sacrifices after sacrifices (infinite) resulting in a man's life condition in the present. That happiness completely is depending upon every kind of sacrifice.
