Claiming Victory When Opponent "Seems Away"

I HATED this new feature. Literally. When my connection is bad, or I switch to background for few moments to reply a text message I see my game is ended and I have lost.

Please rollback this feature.
for blitz this ends games for people who leave to just annoy people so it makes games end faster
If it kicks in when people switch tabs briefly I'd agree that's a problem (I often play at work and have to do small tasks intermittently which don't impact the game time that much) but nah, I'm 1000% sick of doing really well and then just having to wait for rage quitters to time out, especially in classical.
Speaking as someone who only plays slow games, and has encountered his share of sore losers, I think this is a great feature and I hope it stays.
This feature must not exist, I just switched screens for 3 seconds and my game and I lost. This sucks, it doesn't matter if someone just let's the clock go on, just ban them.. but loosing games for a 3 second screen switch?? Cmmon.!!!
I'm sorry, how this new feature works? i can claim victory when the green light turns off? My connection is somewhat erratic, if it goes down and goes up 3 sec later i lose?
If you deliberately leave the game, such as by closing the tab, or switching away from the app if on mobile, they can claim victory after 10 seconds.
On a disconnection, the timeout used to be 120 seconds but was recently reduced to 40 seconds (80 in rapid, 120 in classical). And it's divided by 3 if you're down a lot of material.

So if you see your opponent disconnect on your turn you can gamble by capturing their rook. They'll have to reconnect in 13.3 seconds or they'll lose.
that's harsh for me... sometimes it lasts 30 sec to reconnect...
I just played this game: lichess.org/FF57UlFq/black I was Black. My opponent played only 1 move in 20 minutes. There was no "claim victory" button. I had to wait the whole 20 minutes.

So clearly, the "claim victory" button is not overly sensitive. In case anyone still thinks so.

Edit: Oddly, it doesn't show that his time has run out. It also doesn't show my "Hello" in the chatbox. (I clicked the "HI" icon about halfway through his time.) I guess lichess doesn't bother to record everything in cases like this.
