scandinavian knight maneuver?

Simply put, it's one of those moves that are barely playable but will work against inexperienced players. Your opponent played terribly in response to your move. Against an experienced scandinavian player, you will fall prey to a queen-side pawn storm, space advantage (an eventual e5 and c5 to support the extended pawn on d4), as well as development lead, and extra tempos. It's better off to trade the pawns and gain a tempo with Nc3 on move 3, attacking the queen. Even 2.e5 is playable transposing to a french structure after 2. ..c5.

It may catch a few people off guard but I would't recommend it.
3.Nd5 is a poor choice. Black ist already comfortable after 2...d4. White should respond 3.Nce2. After 3.Nd5 black may already be better. Just 3...e5, and the knight will run out of squares if you're not careful, while black enjoys a nice centre.

2.e5 is substandard as well since black will get a favourable french structure with his white squared bishop developed.

2.exd5 is the way to go and after the main move 2...Qxd5 white can chose between a variety of setups.
After 3.Nd5, c6 4.Nf4, e5 5. Nd3 or 3.Nd5, c6 4.Nb4, e5 5. Nd3 Black is already better.
Only the Knight has moved, and for a poor result. Developing the other pieces may be important.
Playing 3.Nce2 and then Ng3 and Nf3 seems better but why complicate your live since you can gain a tempo and have a better position with the main line 2.exd5
