33 Points vanishing!!

My opponent did not show for the first game of a 5+0 Blitz event in which I just competed and it said I gained 7 liCHESS Elo as a result.

BUT, instead of increasing from what I began with - 2526 - it actually went DOWN to 2497.
Somebody help!!!

Known phenomenon. Your rating wasn't lost, it was just wrongly displayed. You should know you were not at 2526

When you check your game history, you'll see that the game before you dropped from 2498 to 2490, so the calculation is correct.

I think for the first tournament game it displays your rating from the point you joined, not the time the game started.
