The path to perfect chess games :-)

Just got a new personal record, a 90 (!) moves long 000 game.

The secret ingredient : trade most pieces and go for a draw endgame :-)

A pity it was a draw because I like winning endgames with opposite colored bishops with nice pawn breaks and pawn sacrifices. My opponent played fast and defended well !
That's impressive, if in a slightly strange way! I think I'd have given up the ending as a draw somewhere around move 50 - your opponent seems to know what he's doing against the passer and there's no more pawn breaks.

Cheers. I think I got carried away by the fact that my opponent played so fast most of the time. When I don't see a need to think for a bit longer (like in "critical positions" where there's a possible win or various good options) I tend to also play quit fast. I guess I hoped that my opponent would still make a mistake. But I could never get my king near to the f pawn to help it promote.
When the "claim draw" button suddenly appeared (50 moves rule, or maybe 3x the same position) I was a bit relieved to finally finish this game :) In the end the clock of my opponent was already red blinking, but it would have been bad sportmanship to be wanting to win this "dead" draw position on time.
@achja
Yeah, I don't think you should be aiming to win this position - basically it comes down to who can move their mouse fastest which would have been a shame.

I think this is my record 0/0/0 at 38 moves:

Though I think this game might be more to your taste:

The last few moves were just a crazy time scramble - I'm even losing in the final position when my opponent's flag fell! But I was pleased to have seen 28.Qd5 in particular from a fair few moves back.
so if i do a perfect millions back and forth bishops moves in a draw position i will be better than Carlsen ?
nevertheless, by not having even 1 inaccuracy till the endgame, i think you did great :)

That first game was a splendid performance !
The second game was also fun to look at.
