Correspondence chess-the ULTIMATE thinking !

hi folks, this is my thought about the subject ;at the beginning ,I star playing blitz in the internet, then I somewhat switched to classical, now mostly I play correspondence , the ultimate chess thinking, really amazing ! somewhat it's like analyzing your games before finished ! so you forced to think and rethink and re rethink and re re rethink... ! I play now 50 games with various time control (1-14 days /move), every day I look at the games and deeply think what to move, it's more than classical, in correspondence you memorise EVERY game you are playing, behind every move you make is a deep thought process , I never felt like this before, really wonderful experience, pleeease STOP blitz or at least limit it ,and start RESPECTING your brain :)

I share your opinion, once I started playing blitz, it somewhat destroyed my strategical and tactical thinking, so slowly I went back to correspondence chess and I really love it, no need to hurry, think everything through, really looking for every tactical possibility, forks, checks, sacs, even the craziest lines, deflection, x ray etc. What a beautiful composition you can create.

By the way, I am free to every correspondence challenge :)

but I have to say that though you have a lot of time to look things and as you said work every tactical and stratigic ideas,,etc , still I come across a lot of positions (whether was opening, middle game or ending) that cannot figure it out completely and understand it,,, so, although correspondence UNLEASH your tactical ability and stratigical thinking, you have to ENHANCE these by acquiring knowledge from studying (reading books, watching courses,,etc)

I play chess for a year, and i love modality of correspondence cause i study and i don't have much time to play it. But don't you think that this is a good way for cheaters to use engines? It's not funny : (

one can cheat in blitz and even I read some can in bullet ! so you will never avoid that potential, that being said, I no longer play correspondence or any type of chess with the feeling that the one I play may be cheating ,it's not healthy , becasue let's suppose that he cheat , so what ? I enjoy the game and learn from every game I play while he is laughing at himself with meaningless points of a meaningless account, which is kinda pathetic...so ,,DONT let cheates steal the joy and the profitability of playing chess from you :))

I know it's all true what you have said :). But some pople are crazy and play correspondeces also to use engines. However i will play always chess also with cheaters cause i lov the game. They are loosers in game and in life : )
Ps: I added to my friends list. One day of those we ll play one if you want. =)
