Blitz... Is it worth it?

If someone is trying to maximize their improvement at chess... is working on one's blitz skills worth it or could their time be better used on rapid, classical, tactics, endgames, etc? Basically, is blitz a practical investment of time for the improving chess player?
@Le_Patzer83
Blitz could improve your skills, but slower time controls are what really do improve your chess. And if you go to tournaments, it will be slow time controls most of the time. That's why I play blitz on weekdays except Friday and on Fridays 15+10 tournaments
You can train all parts of game separately but you have to glue them together at the end of the day. So why not train all parts of the game in one go? By means of playing complete games!

I don’t know why people stick to those dead myths. Nowadays the games are logged, you can analyze your Blitz games using dbs, engines, tbs. And these games mirror YOUR thinking process - do you think there’s something better which mirrors your deficiencies?

With 32 years in business I can tell: Blitz is underrated. It will reveal more than you might imagine.
Rapid and classical help in all time controls.
Blitz helps in blitz.
Which is why I recommend to only play rapid and classical.
Of course 100 tournament games are better than 100 rapid games are better than 100 Blitz games.

But I doubt that 1:10:100 is still valid. Blitz is tournament time control in time lapse.

Needless to say you have to look them up, post-mortem is mandatory.
They are all good IMO, that's why I play both.
Blitz is good if you don't have much time, and if you want to spot tactics fast.
Slow time controls is good if you want to play accurately and encourage you to think more.
Slower time controls are much better otherwise most moves rely on intuition and that's not very good for improving.
One Minute is my hero, interesting that it ruins my low chess skills underground.
@Sarg0n Blitz certainly highlights my deficiencies that's for sure. LOL.

Thank you everyone for your wonderful feedback.
