My opinion of the new rating system.

I'm sure this ratings mess is more complex than it appears, and that it would be very hard to get ratings close to FIDE/USCF, but at least if we can't get them close let's make sure that they're deflated and not inflated. This way when we actually compete in real tournaments and get those ratings, we're pleasantly surprised instead of disappointed.
Ratings shouldn't need to be changed for a significant amount of time from here in. They've been designed so when more variants are introduced, they make sense in the grand scheme of things.

KotH is a variant, just like how 960 is a variant. Hence why they have their own ratings. When more variants are added it'd be silly to constantly debate and confuse everyone over "does this variant count towards my main rating or not?"

Variants are variants, and the standard rules of chess are the standard rules of chess. Simple.
It'd be hard, to do that with ratings. You'd have to keep adjusting them. Now lichess has around 250k regular users, it should start sorting itself out fairly decently, as 250k regular users is more than most national chess federations.
Thanks for the input Clarkey. Also I made my last post before I read Cynosure's reply which I found to be very useful, and I do hope my rating here would really be my USCF or FIDE rating because that would make me very happy, though I have a feeling it may be less. Dan Heisman says that USCF ratings are about 150 less than ICC ratings, and ICC players are a more serious chess playing group than chess.com too.
The rating graph!

I Think that the principal purpose of rating graph, is to see a progression. Now it is difficult to see any progression....

In my opinion,The best graph was when there was only TWO lines. classical rating and opponent rating. Easy to read, useful, clean!

I think true ratings are only reflected by your pool ratings:
(1) You randomly get white/ black
(2) You cannot choose your opponent (except if there are few members present in the pool).

I think the new global ratings are manipulable because (some) people keep choosing to play rated games with white, and against lower rated opponents... I wish that color selection in rated games should NEVER be allowed. In unrated games, that is okay.
Totally agree! only playing as white is purely cheating.
The graphs will be made easier in the future. They'll be divided into the following groups:
-Variants (Standard, 960, KotH, more to come)
-Time Control (Bullet, Blitz, Classical)
-Pools
-Training

There just isn't the interface to support it yet.
Ok tank you Clarkey.

However you will need to choose a default group.

1-Can it be Standard?
2-Can it be for All games? and then if one would want to get more precision, he could choose "since 3 months".

I don't think short rate graph should be by default.

An idea for the charts could be with checkboxes to appear rating groups
